Caroline Adewole

Updating Midlife is a joint venture of fourteen contributors, three of whom are the editors. The aim of the editors of the project, with twenty years of studying midlife behind them, is to gather and utilise the views, ideas, and thoughts of the contributors in relation to midlife from a psychoanalytic view point. As they think about issues pertinent to this particular subject they bring the richness of both their personal and clinical experience as an update to the ongoing discussion.

Most of the contributors are psychoanalysts, psychiatrists, academicians, and authors in their own right. They are members of the International Psychoanalytical Association and are members or leading members of a psychoanalytical association in their own country. Some of them, including the editors, are members of Travesta Foundation (Psychoanalysis for Midlife Transition and Crisis).

Most of the chapters are in interview format.
