This book deals with the psychodynamics and psychotherapy of the so-called “closet narcissistic disorder of the self.” It covers a comprehensive range of topics, including psychodynamic structure, differential diagnosis, and a recommended therapeutic approach, as well as considerable clinical data illustrating the treatment process. There is also an extensive section on countertransference with these patients as it manifests itself in detailed reports of supervisory sessions.
