Dr. August Aichorn

Kurt Eissler

August Aichorn died in Vienna on the 13th of October, 1949 in the 72nd year of his life. Some lost in him a devoted and loyal friend ever ready to give his best for their sake, others, a benefactor and humanitarian who saved them from being crushed by society, and psychoanalysis, a scientist who added to Freud's work the psychology of the delinquent disorders. His name will always have a place in the history of psychoanalysis.
