Tip: To sort articles by Rank…

PEP-Web Tip of the Day

You can specify Rank as the sort order when searching (it’s the default) which will put the articles which best matched your search on the top, and the complete results in descending relevance to your search. This feature is useful for finding the most important articles on a specific topic.

You can also change the sort order of results by selecting rank at the top of the search results pane after you perform a search. Note that rank order after a search only ranks up to 1000 maximum results that were returned; specifying rank in the search dialog ranks all possibilities before choosing the final 1000 (or less) to return.

The Annual Meetings of the American Psychoanalytic Association were held at the Hotel Jefferson in St. Louis, Missouri, April 29 – May 3, 1954. Abstracts of the Minutes of the Executive Council, Board on Professional Standards and the Business Meeting of the Members are published in this issue of the Bulletin. All members who desire to inspect copies of the official Minutes may do so by communicating with the Executive Secretary, Mr. John N. McVeigh, 36 West 44 Street, New York 36, N. Y.

Executive Council

The Executive Council met Thursday, April 29, 1954 for its Annual Meeting, with Dr. Ives Hendrick presiding and Dr. Richard L. Frank serving as Secretary.

I. Report of the Secretary


Total expenditures of the Office of the Secretary were $1, 190.14, leaving an unexpended balance of $159.86 to revert to the Treasury.


The increase in Association dues was approved by mail ballot by a vote of 287 members in favor and 61 opposed.


Dr. Philip R. Lehrman has continued officially as the Association's representative, pending the approval of Dr. Robert Waelder's Fellowship appointment by the A.A.A.S. This appointment (which has since been confirmed) was delayed because of technical reasons. The A.A.A.S.
