The Association notes with sorrow the passing of Erich Kraft.
George E. Daniels retired as Director of the Clinic and Clinical Professor of Psychiatry on June 30, 1961. The Association, in conjunction with the Clinic and its Alumni Association, tendered a dinner on May 19, 1961 in honor of Dr. Daniels. Among the distinguished guests paying tribute to Dr. Daniels were H. Houston Marritt, Dean of the Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons, Carl Binger, Nolan D. C. Lewis, and Sandor Rado. Dr. Daniels was succeeded in both posts by George S. Goldman.
Aaron Karush retired as Admitting Psychoanalyst at the Clinic on July 1, 1961. He has been succeeded by B. Ruth Easser. Louise J. Coleman was appointed an Assistant Admitting Psychoanalyst.
The Annual Sandor Rado Lecture was given by David M. Levy on April 14 and 15, 1961. The title was "The Incomplete Act." A dinner given by the faculty in honor of Dr. Levy preceded the first meeting.
The first issue of the Association's Bulletin will appear in the fall of 1961. It will be a quarterly publication containing news and articles of special interest to the Association as well as abstracts of scientific papers presented at the monthly meetings. The Editor is James P. Cattell.
