Fall Meeting—December 17-21, 1986
The Fall Meeting of the American Psychoanalytic Association was held at the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel in New York City, December 17–21, 1986. An abstract of the Business Meeting of Members, including reports of the Secretary of the Executive Council, the Treasurer of the Association, the Secretary of the Board on Professional Standards, the Editor of the Journal, and the Fund for Psychoanalytic Research is published in this issue of the Bulletin. Members who desire to obtain copies of the Official Minutes of any of these bodies may do so by communicating with the Administrative Director, Mrs. Helen Fischer, 309 East 49th Street, New York, N.Y. 10017.
Business Meeting of Members
The Business Meeting of Members was held on Friday, December 19, 1986, at 8:30 A.M. with Dr. Richard C. Simons, President, officiating and Dr. Austin Silber as Secretary. Dr. Simons announced the presence of a quorum. The polls were opened and Dr. Simons announced the names of the tellers. They were Drs. Muriel Laskin, I. Floyd Mallott, Frances Millican, Frank Parcells, Terry Rodgers, and Morton Shane. The proceedings of the May 9, 1986 Business Meeting of Members were adopted as published in the official minutes.
Dr. Simons introduced his fellow officers as follows: Dr. Shelley Orgel, Chairman of the Board on Professional Standards; Dr. Bernard L. Pacella, Treasurer; Dr. Austin Silber, Secretary; Dr. Homer C. Curtis, President-elect; and Dr. George H. Allison, Secretary of the Board on Professional Standards.
II. CHANGES IN MEMBERSHIP
