Fall Meeting—December 15–19, 1993
The Fall Meeting of the American Psychoanalytic Association was held at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel, New York City, December 15–19, 1993. An abstract of the Business Meeting of Members, including reports of the Secretary of the Executive Council, the Treasurer of the Association, the Secretary of the Board on Professional Standards, the Editor of the Journal of the American Psychoanalytic Association, and the Chairman of the Fund for Psychoanalytic Research is published in this issue of the Bulletin. Members who desire to obtain copies of the Minutes, including committee reports, may do so by communicating with the Administrative Director, Mrs. Helen Fischer, 309 East 49th Street, New York, NY 10017.
Business Meeting of Members
I. OPENING OF MEETING
The Business Meeting of Members was held on Friday, December 17, 1993, at 11:00 a.m. with Dr. Bernard L. Pacella, President, officiating and Dr. David M. Hurst, as Secretary.
Dr. Bernard L. Pacella, President, opened the meeting and introduced his fellow officers: Drs. David M. Hurst, Secretary; Marvin Margolis, Chair of the Board on Professional Standards; Owen Renik, Secretary of the Board on Professional Standards; and Stephen K. Firestein, Treasurer. He also introduced Dr. Norman Clemens, Chair of the Committee on Government Relations and Insurance.
III. MINUTES OF THE MAY 21, 1993 MEETING
A motion was made, seconded, and carried to approve the Minutes of the May 1, 1993 Meeting of Members as published.
