The Collection

The Freud Museum will celebrate its fifth birthday in July 1991 which is an opportune time to review past activities and look forward to the future. In September 1989 a travelling exhibition opened in Philadelphia at the start of a two year tour of the USA. Entitled 'Fragments from a Buried Past' the exhibition contains some of the finest antiquities from Freud's collection together with books and prints. It has attracted record attendances at many of the museums it has visited. The exhibition was organized in conjunction with the State University of New York at Binghampton, and with sponsorship from Ciba-Geigy which enabled a fine catalogue to be produced.
