Patricia Polledri

Dear Sir

I wondered whether an experience I had recently with a female patient enquiring about psychotherapy would he worth publishing in our Journal. I will transcribe the following communication made to me in a telephone call from the patient.

Patient:

‘May I ask you - are you fraudulent?’

Therapist:

‘… Do you mean - am 1 Freudian?’

Patient:

‘Yes - that is what I just said!’

I hope this classic Freudian slip is useful!
