Pauline Urwin

Dear Editor

I would be extremely grateful if the British Journal of Psychotherapy could include this acknowledgment to Dr Cathy Urwin's friends and colleagues.

I am Cathy Urwin's sister and have been overwhelmed by the messages, good wishes and thoughtful memories my family and I have received since Cathy's death. Indeed we were astonished at the number of cards that Cathy received and appreciated greatly in the few weeks that she was ill. We read them all to her - 250+ at the last count - and she smiled and carefully looked at each and every one. I would love to say something to each of you, but there are too many of you! Very many thanks to you all for loving her so well and clearly appreciating her intellect, commitment and extraordinary hard work. We do plan a memorial event sometime in the autumn of 2012 and we look forward to seeing you when all the arrangements are in place.

Thank you.

Pauline Urwin
