Membership Committee

Carrie K. Evenden, Psy.D.

It's been another busy, exciting year for the NCSPP Membership Committee. We have continued making monthly calls — to our new members, welcoming them to the community; and to our continuing members, reminding them how much their membership is valued. We also attended many NCSPP events to welcome our current members and to share information about the exciting perks of becoming a member.

Along with the launch of our new and improved website in July 2013 came a few snags to tracking membership. As a result, our committee has been working hard to connect with members about their status. Our efforts are paying off and we look forward to watching our community continue to grow!

With the goal to serve all demographics and expand our outreach, we created a survey to determine the needs and interests of North Bay members. As a result, NCSPP will start to offer more classes and a possible North Bay ISG in the near future.

In the next few months, we will enhance our membership directory and develop a Listserve for our members. We hope these initiatives will become valuable resources for community building and referrals as well as to share psychoanalytic thinking and education.

It has been a privilege and a joy to serve as the Membership Chairperson over these past two years. This work could not have been done without the dedication and energy of my committee members Michiko Tamate, Amber Trotter, and Aggie Quinn.
