'Depersonalization and the Body Ego with Special Reference to the Genital Representation.': Leo Berman.

The literature on depersonalization is reviewed. Schilder's ideas on body image are related to the problem and the pathological development of body ego is traced. In the case reported, there was (1) pregenital fixation; (2) sadomasochistic family relations; (3) severe infantile traumata; (4) distorted (body) ego development.
