Sylvan Keiser

Psychoanalytic Quarterly, Vol. XVII, No. 4, 1948.

The cases studied range from the murder of the mother substitute in the form of a young girl, to suicide, to its representation in symptoms and dreams. The need for further study of this problem is stressed since the entire emotional gamut from passive-receptive to aggressive-hostile feelings are initially experienced between mother and child.
