B. Joseph

Bulletin of the Menninger Clinic, 1951, Vol. 15, No. 1, pp. 21–25.

The case is briefly described of a 22-year-old man, a markedly regressed schizophrenic, who showed some improvement when fed with milk from a baby's bottle as an adjuvant to the ordinary hospital milieu programme. He returned to his previous apathetic state when the bottle feeding was discontinued, and again improved when it was resumed. The patient clearly remained grossly ill; the author claims that the progress that was made was due to the bottle feeding.
