PEP-Web Tip of the Day

When there are articles or videos related to the one you are viewing, you will see a related papers icon next to the title, like this: RelatedPapers32Final3For example:

2015-11-06_09h28_31

Click on it and you will see a bibliographic list of papers that are related (including the current one). Related papers may be papers which are commentaries, responses to commentaries, erratum, and videos discussing the paper. Since they are not part of the original source material, they are added by PEP editorial staff, and may not be marked as such in every possible case.

Psyche, 23, Nos. 10–12, 1969: M. L. MOELLER (Psychosomatic Clinic, Students' Service, University of Giessen, Ludwigstr. 76, 63 Giessen, Germany). Psychotherapeutische Behandlung von Studenten im Urteil der Therapeuten (Psychotherapy of students in the therapist's view: phase-specific conflicts during the student years)

The theoretical basis of Moeller's paper is E. H. Erikson's model of psychosocial developmental phases. The term 'social adolescence' is suggested for the delay inherent in the life situation of students whose independent social and family life is often postponed until adulthood. The resulting phasespecific conflicts are delayed adolescent problems, problems of young adult life and problems arising from the terminal phase of social adolescence. The impact of these psychosocial phases on treatment is illustrated by systematically analysed interviews. One decisive release mechanism of student protest is seen in frustrated identity.
