London Weekend Conference for English-Speaking Members of European Societies 12–14 October 1990

Registration will take place on Friday, 12th October 1990, between 6.30 and 9 p.m., at North and South Cloisters, University College London, Gower Street, London W.C.1. The Conference will be held on Saturday and Sunday (a.m. only), 13th and 14th October 1990, at The Logan Hall, Institute of Education, 20 Bedford Way, London W.C.1.

The topic of the Conference is:

THE TREATMENT ALLIANCE AND THE TRANSFERENCE

There will be three papers on work with adults on Saturday given by Mrs Ignes Sodre, Dr Sheilagh Davies and Mr Christopher Bollas. These sessions will be chaired by Dr Mervin Glasser, Dr Jonathan Pedder and Mrs Elizabeth Spillius respectively. Mr Peter Fonagy will be opening the discussion of the paper by Mr Bollas.

There will be two papers on the application of the theme of the Conference to work with children and adults on Sunday given by Miss Betty Joseph and Mrs Anne-Marie Sandler. This will be followed by a session of dialogue between them and Dr Nian Coltart.

There will be a meeting of students on Sunday afternoon.

The Programme and application forms will be despatched mid-April to all members of the EPF automatically. Thereafter further copies may be obtained from Madeline Garfield (Miss) at The British Psycho-Analytical Society, 63 New Cavendish Street, London W1M 7RD.
