Review by:
Brigitte Éoche-Duval

The 2007 Annuel entitled The Primitive. What Becomes of Regression? is the first institutional publication by the French Psychoanalytic Association (APF), and will come out from now on in January of each year.

This editorial event, arising from a decision taken by the APF under the Presidency of Andre Beetschen, and supported by Daniel Widlçcher, the current President, who is known for his commitment to debate between psychoanalysts, aims to transmit the psychoanalytic thought of the APF ‘beyond its own walls’. This plurality of thought was initially presented in the context of scientific work (meetings and conferences) either by members of the Association or by those invited, psychoanalysts or representatives of different disciplines. Each volume of the APF Annuel will include, subsequent to a second phase involving the writing process, a selection of these scientific contributions.
