The Traumatic Area and the Institutional Field by Antonello Correale Borla, Rome, 2007; 339 pp; €32

Review by:
Cristiana Cimino

For more than 20 years Antonello Correale has been trying to fulfill a rather difficult task, i.e. to combine his institutional experience in a Psychiatric Counselling Service and his work as a psychoanalyst. His latest book further testifies to the difficulty in reconciling these two roles, which is again mainly due to the tricky frontier where psychoanalysis and psychiatry meet and clash.
