Dear Editors,

Thank you for the opportunity to respond to the letter by Mark Solms. It is good to know that there is training in South Africa, although it seems for the very few. I did not know about this training so I appreciate the information which I shall relay to my colleagues and other mental health professionals who are also interested in, and serious about, psychoanalysis, but also unaware of this training. It is, however, important to point out that the substance of my paper (2013) is not affected by his comments.
