The Feminine and the pubertarian

Olivier Ouvry

After observing how the pubertarian threshold is rarely the object of attention and theorization, we propose a theorical hypothesis. It consists in situating the advent of the Feminin as a pubertarian novelty. Such hypothesis allows for the articulation between the Freudian theories regarding infantile phallicism and the Lacanian one, regarding feminine jouissance's specificities. Our approach reflects the articulation made possible, by puberty, between the infantile, the juvenile and the adult world. Based on this hypothesis, both Freudian and Lacanian theories are presented, along with Philippe Gutton's, which will help enrich our arguments.
