Tip: To use Pocket to save bookmarks to PEP-Web articles…

PEP-Web Tip of the Day

Pocket (formerly “Read-it-later”) is an excellent third-party plugin to browsers for saving bookmarks to PEP-Web pages, and categorizing them with tags.

To save a bookmark to a PEP-Web Article:

  • Use the plugin to “Save to Pocket”
  • The article referential information is stored in Pocket, but not the content. Basically, it is a Bookmark only system.
  • You can add tags to categorize the bookmark to the article or book section.

Embodying Intersubjective Intimacy: A Discussion of “Katherine: A Long, Hard Case” by Joye Weisel-Barth—Observations and Reflections

Steven H. Knoblauch, Ph.D.

This discussion emphasizes the significance of Dr. Weisel-Barth's capacities to navigate and narrate her emotional shifts in the face of powerful forces to disengage or dissociate. In particular, her ability to hold open reflective space and hope for the future for herself as a requirement for helping her patient accomplish, is critical. The work of Elizabeth Loewald, based on the ideas of Gaston Bachelard, as well as observations by the Italian psychoanalyst Antonio Ferrari concerning how embodied experience can serve as a basis for generating reflective space for imagining a future, is offered as further perspective on this artful presentation.
