Ausbleiben oder lange Verzögerung der Ejakulation ist — so hat Bergler in einer früheren Arbeit ausgeführt — keineswegs immer ein anales Symptom (Sperma wird den Fäzes gleich zurückgehalten), sondern oft ein orales: der Patient weigert sich unbewußt, den Samen herzugeben, um sich an der „phallischen” Mutter zu rächen, an deren Brust er nicht genug erhalten zu haben glaubt.
