Leo Stone has enriched the psychoanalytic world as analyst, teacher, and as innovative contributor to our scientific literature. The psychoanalytic endeavor and its field of inquiry has been significantly enlarged by Dr. Stone's personality as well as by his writings. In fact, some of the shape and direction modern psychoanalysis has taken actually stems from his incisive and independent creativity. These notes focus on only one aspect of that work, Dr. Stone's contributions to our understanding of transference.
