Editorial Note

Lisa Miller

It is with great pleasure that the Association of Child Psychotherapists has heard of the appointment of Mrs Frances Tustin as an Honorary Affiliate of the British Psycho-analytical Society. Affiliate status is only given to a few people, and for it to be offered to Mrs Tustin is a recognition of the distinctive contribution she has made in the psycho-analytical field.

We publish here what Mrs Tustin describes as an “interview article” which tells us from her own point of view about the development of her work and thought. We hope this may be the first of an occasional series of articles in a similar vein relating to distinguished members of our profession.
