Bulletin Of The International Neuro-Psychoanalysis Society

Edited by:
Iréne Matthis

Introduction Bulletin 13

I have just returned from the 7th International Neuro-Psychoanalysis Congress in Los Angeles, a meeting not only named, but also filled with “Love and Lust in Attachment.” It was a great success organizationally, and the polyphonic and thought-provoking lectures were stimulating in trying to connect the Freudian concepts of sexuality and drive with the modern theories of attachment and loss and, finally, with the brain's seeking and reward systems. Those of you who were unfortunate not to be able to attend will, however, have a chance to buy the DVD of the lectures and discussions. This bulletin contains reports from seven groups, representing all geographic areas of the world except Asia. But in the next bulletin we are hoping to be able to introduce our first Asian member group. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any question on our work or some information relating to our joint area of interest: the “mind-body-brain.”
