“An Introduction to a Neuropsychoanalytic Perspective on Personality Disorders” was a one-day workshop initially presented in November 2006 at the annual congress of the Ordre des Psychologues du Quebec, the Quebec licensing board for psychologists. As the workshop was fully booked (attended by 90 clinical psychologists and neuropsychologists), we decided to repeat it after the congress, and a further 100 participants attended this time, including many psychiatrists. The same workshop was also held in Paris in November 2006 and drew a full room of 50 participants.

We have set up an ongoing seminar that is limited to 15 participants. It consists of one-day gatherings around specific themes. The first was held in January 2007. As this was the initial meeting, half of the day was devoted to functional neuro-anatomy. The second part of the day looked at epistemological issues in neuropsychoanalysis. The second seminar investigated affect, in terms of both neurodevelopment and the therapeutic setting. The third focused on memory, and the fourth on the neurodynamics of psychotherapy.

Our group is currently translating Allan Schore's Affective Regulation and the Disorders of the Self (2003). It will be published in French by our training institute's publishing section, the CIG Press. It should be available to French-speaking readers in the course of 2008.
