In this book the author sets out to evaluate the accomplishments of the behavioristic approach to psychological problems over a period of twenty-five years.

Every psychological system, as any other discipline of science, has to be evaluated from the point of view of: (1) Its method of investigation. (2) The data obtained and obtainable with that method of investigation. (3) Working concepts and hypotheses. The author states correctly that behaviorism, which was originated by J. B.
