Marianne Makman

Although not dealing specifically with psychoanalytic issues, this paper should be of great interest to analysts working with girls and women. The authors present a study done with healthy adolescent girls, exploring their experiences and feelings about the use of tampons versus sanitary napkins. The authors suggest that the ability to use tampons may be correlated with important aspects of psychosexual maturation in young women.
