Editorial Announcement

Stephen A. Mitchell

With this issue, Lewis Aron and Jody Messler Davies join me as Editors of Psychoanalytic Dialogues. The three of us will collaborate as Editors of volume 9. Beginning with volume 10, Aron and Davies will continue on as Editors and I will become an Associate (and Founding) Editor.

Lewis Aron has been involved with Psychoanalytic Dialogues since its creation in 1990, and Jody Messler Davies since 1994. They represent what is for me the essence of what we have tried to create through PD, a combination of deep respect and love for the psychoanalytic tradition and a willingness to explore fresh ideas and innovative clinical practices. Their assumption of editorship represents the continual need for change and new contributions. My assumption of the duties of Associate Editor, one year from now, in no way represents a diminution of my involvement with PD, but rather a different role, with less week-to-week administrative responsibility and more involvement in special projects. We all look forward to the continued collaborative process among the editors, and among the editors and authors and readers, that has made Psychoanalytic Dialogues such a rewarding experience for us over the years.
