Adrienne E. Harris

Adrienne E. Harris offers the following correction in regard to her paper, “Gender as a Strange Attractor: Discussion of the Transgender Symposium” in Psychoanalytic Dialogues, Volume 21, Number 2. “In citing Zizek as the primary source of the iconic account of interpellation, I neglected Althusser's (1971) original presentation of the policeman-‘hey you’ vignette in his “Ideology and Ideological State Apparatuses (Notes toward an Investigation),” in Lenin and Philosophy and Other Essays (New York and London: Monthly Review Press).” She thanks Muriel Dimen for pointing out this mis-attribution.
