Freud's Feelings and Elaborations Regarding Femininity: Some Associations Language Translation

Franco Ciprandi

In this communication, I shall be examining the Freudian models regarding female sexuality and femininity in general, and I shall be making some comments on the extent to which I think they can be used in analytical work, and also on certain aspects of developments in psychoanalytical thought (which I consider as being still a set of values of Freudian origin) since Freud's death. I notice that Eugenio Gaburri refers specifically to femininity as being one of those areas “marginal to the corpus of Freudian doctrine” (together with psychosis and the psychoanalysis of children). Later, I shall be making some remarks on this very subject; presently, since Freud formulated some models regarding female sexuality, I shall mention some of them here, and then include them in the discussion about some of the ways in which I think Freud is present today.
