In this paper, the history of the The Scandinavian Psychoanalytic Review is described by three of its chief editors. The background and the founding of the journal is first described. This is followed by a description of the editorial policies of the different periods, including special occasions and problems as well as descriptions of the result of the editorial work. The paper concludes with some general remarks about the journal and its immediate future.
