Sigmund Freud

[to Gizella Pálos]
Csorbató, August 21, 1917

Dearest lady,

Hearty congratulations! Now you can cast aside all regrets that are left to you as remnants of a bad time and get serious, finally make a beautiful life for yourself and for him. I am enormously happy about the easy outcome.

We didn't move to Lomnicz, but rather we got another room here, likewise with veranda. The day before yesterday Anna went to Kotaj and was able to announce her happy arrival today by telegram. In a certain respect it is also good for us that you are no longer in the Tatra, because we intend to consume all the groceries here and cross the border empty. So new shipments won't be accepted anymore. Now, I may also say that the melons were delicious.

I am writing to you at Ferenczi's address because I don't have yours. Let me hope that both addresses will soon merge.

With kind regards, amicably devoted more than ever,

Yours,

Freud
