Dear friend,

Every little piece of good news is doubly welcome in these times, and that goes for your communication to the effect that you have strongly overestimated the difficulties of the divorce. I always thought that such a matter will be settled more easily within the same family than between two that are separated and hostile. Let us hope it will now proceed well. If a summer should materialize for us—somewhere other than in the ninth district—, then the nicest solution would certainly be to be together with you, and in the process even the long-postponed work on Lamarck would be able to flourish.

From the scientific sector only the one piece of news, that a few days ago I handed over my still remaining works to Heller for a fourth series of the Sammlung. They are over thirty essays from the Zeitschrift, Imago, and Jahrbuch, supplemented by the Taboo of Virginity and the big case history of my Russian,1 which has been lying around since 1914 and was threatening to become musty. Perhaps this volume will see the light of publicity at the same time as the Hungarian Interpretation of Dreams.
