Tip: To use Pocket to save bookmarks to PEP-Web articles…

PEP-Web Tip of the Day

Pocket (formerly “Read-it-later”) is an excellent third-party plugin to browsers for saving bookmarks to PEP-Web pages, and categorizing them with tags.

To save a bookmark to a PEP-Web Article:

  • Use the plugin to “Save to Pocket”
  • The article referential information is stored in Pocket, but not the content. Basically, it is a Bookmark only system.
  • You can add tags to categorize the bookmark to the article or book section.

For the complete list of tips, see PEP-Web Tips on the PEP-Web support page.

Dear Professor,

I confirm receipt of your New Year's letter, the most important subject of which I will not go into now, since the entire question of the big fund is not ripe for discussion at the moment. I have no authority regarding the use of the little fund to honor Reik and to be set aside for the two prizes. Sachs, alone, should get the honorarium which has hitherto been paid to the three of us (Rank, Sachs, and me). Abraham and I are only Honorary Editors and don't deserve an honorarium.

Frau Dr. Dubovicz visited me today and asks you by way of me to take her on as a patient. There is probably no other way out for her. The treatment should determine whether she stays with her family or not. As you know, I am not suited to treat her. I also don't have any free hours.

In a few days the official judgment of the court is supposed to settle Gizella's divorce. We will get married soon thereafter, even though we don't have a place to live.

The political situation is coming more and more to a head here.2 Everything is pressing toward a showdown between the extreme parties: the Communists on the one hand, the reactionaries on the other. The parties of the center (also the Social Democratic, which is now in power) may not hold. The reactionary1 will probably be promoted by the French. The final determination naturally depends on the outcome of the same struggle in Germany.

Naturally, not many people are interested in psychoanalysis at this time.
