Dr. Wigger's Kurheim
As you may have learned from the Rundbrief and from Rank's communications about my stay in Vienna, my doctors agree that I am still not healthy, so that I belong in this spa.1 Here I was subjected to renewed highly embarrassing examinations, the results of which are approximately as follows: the kidney is not actually diseased to the extent that it is inflamed, it is only suffering from a peculiar difficulty in concentration, which could have somehow vascular2 (vasomotor?) origins. Structural elements are harmless, albumin minimal.—The nocturnal states independent of the kidney, caused by the not completely eliminated disturbance in nasal breathing.—The fact is that, since I am seeing to it that the nasal passage is sufficiently widened, the nocturnal disturbances have almost ceased.—Let us hope this is the beginning of a “circulus benignus”
Do you know that Seefeld is only three stops away from Partenkirchen, that we will therefore certainly see and speak to each other after August 15?! Of course, to visit you I need a “red border certificate”; but I will bring everything to bear in order to get one. As an Austrian citizen, you will get one without difficulty.
