Sándor Ferenczi

Budapest, November 13, 1921

Dear Professor,

As a postscript to my last letter I must unfortunately correct a bad, albeit well-intended, slip of the pen. I wrote to you that Dick was paying me 50% of the gross. In reality he is paying me 50% of the net proceeds of my books, and in future, instead of this, he wants to pay 10% of the gross, immediately upon publication of an edition.

So, he might also come out with these or similar numbers in the negotiations over the translation rights to your works, in the event that it comes to such negotiations at all. For the time being I will assume a totally negative position with regard to him and will strive, with Dr. Dukes's aid, to secure your rights of authorship.

In the event that you are not opposed in principle to an amicable agreement with him (but in any case only for a few years), and in the event that we don't dispense with him differently, we (Dr. Béla Lévy and I) will do what is necessary.

Many kind regards.

Yours,

Ferenczi
