Sigmund Freud

Vienna, December 15, 19211

Dear friend,

Since you won't be in Vienna simultaneously with Abraham,2 we can ask you to get accommodations nowhere other than with us. The drawing room has been set up as a guest room, and is currently inhabited by Frau Lou, who is leaving before Christmas.

Kind regards,

Freud

1 Postcard.

2 Abraham, Ferenczi, Róheim, and Sachs had been invited to lecture by English and American analysands in Vienna. Abraham had originally planned to arrive in Vienna on January 3, 1922, but—because of a railroad strike—he did not come until the twenty-second or twenty-third (Abraham to Freud, December 25, 1921, and January 18, 1922, Library of Congress; Abraham's Rundbrief of January 11, 1922, Butler Library; Rank's Rundbriefe of January 11, 1922, and January 22, 1922, Butler Library).
