Dear Professor,

I just heard from Dick that negotiations are going back and forth between him and Deuticke about the translation rights to the Interpretation of Dreams. Should Deuticke turn to you in this matter (or if you made the effort to call Deuticke up in this matter), I ask to insist that the translation right (however this takes place when the time comes) be granted not to Dick alone, but to both of us. Only in that way could I successfully preserve my rights with regard to Dick.
