Sándor Ferenczi

Budapest, March 25, 1928

Dear Professor,

I am pleased to announce to you my trip to Vienna, which will take place on the week-end1 of this week. Unfortunately, I am not free Friday evening (lecture2 and communal supper), but I hope to be able to spend a few hours with you after your hours on Saturday, and above all, Sunday morning.—

My wife will accompany me this time.

Kind regards and until we meet again!

Yours,

Ferenczi

Notes to "Letter from Sándor Ferenczi to Sigmund Freud, March 25, 1928"

1 This word is written in English in the original [Trans.].

2 The lecture has not been identified; possibly, however, the lecture on “Psychoanalyse und Kriminologie” [Psychoanalysis and Criminology] (Ferenczi 1928, 283a) in the Verein für angewandte Psychopathologie in Vienna, the date of which is (erroneously?) given in Bausteine III, p. 399, as April 30, 1928. It seems improbable that Ferenczi would have written to Freud on April 29, 1928 (letter 1124), without mentioning a trip to Vienna on the following day. See also Anna Freud's Rundbrief of April 30, 1928: “There is nothing worth communicating” (British Psycho-Analytical Society).
