Sándor Ferenczi

Baden-Baden, Werderstrasse 14,
October 11, 19301

Dear Professor,

I am finally getting a rest after a hard year of work—although I had to take along a [female] patient!2 I always recover quickly here. My wife also feels well, I think. Beneficial boredom characterizes the stay; the body is kept thoroughly busy.

Cordially,

Ferenczi

The Groddecks send regards!

Notes to "Letter from Sándor Ferenczi to Sigmund Freud, October 11, 1930"

1 Picture postcard: “Baden-Baden, new castle—terrace.”

2 It was possibly around this time that the photograph of the Ferenczis depicted in the Ferenczi-Groddeck correspondence (p. 52) was taken. The unidentified third person in the photograph is Elizabeth Severn (kind communication from Christopher Fortune).
