Dear Professor,

I composed the reply to your last letter in Budapest more than two weeks ago, but I thought it was preferable to let myself be influenced beforehand by the mild air of Italy and the beautiful memories that are connected with this country.

For the first time in years I am on vacation again without patients; body and spirit were already passionately longing for bountiful peace and quiet. Now, Capri offers everything one can expect from the Italian landscape (sun, sea, and people). We feel extremely well here. Let's hope you will once again be capable of traveling; then you mustn't refrain from having a longer stay here.
