PEP-Web Tip of the Day

To find an Author in a Video, go to the Search Section found on the top left side of the homepage. Then, select “All Video Streams” in the Source menu. Finally, write the name of the Author in the “Search for Words or Phrases in Context” area and click the Search button.

Dear friend,

Your letter contains a reproach which will be hard to maintain. There was never any consideration of ascribing to Brill the role of a judge; he didn't even begin to play it. Remember, he wasn't there when you came in. You said, without a word of greeting: I will read my Congress lecture aloud to you. Brill only came in the midst of things and had to recoup the first half, which he had missed. I had put up with his presence, not so that he should make a judgment, but because you had talked with him about the same thing a few days before and in so doing had told him more than you did me. I also knew from him that you don't credit me with more insight than a little boy. [Just as Rank did, back then.]1 We had a common interest in having your lecture on the opening of the Congress, at which you were supposed to have been elected president, not produce a sensation. I saw that that would not be the case, and he really didn't disturb.
