Dear Professor Freud,

You will see I have again changed my address. I have at last got a house of my own, and am happy in that I shall soon be able to get at my beloved books once more.

I found your letter here when I returned from New York. Brill told me about your daughter's marriage, and we sent you a cablegram.1 I hope she will be very happy. I did not have the pleasure of meeting her when I was in Wien, but perhaps I may at some future date.

I read Strohmayer's article2 with great interest. It ought to be convincing to many outsiders, as confirming many of your views and yet not being based on your method, for evidently he has not much knowledge of psychoanalysis. Jena will be the first centre to be established in Germany, and I hope it will have many important successors.

I have some beautiful cases here, with very pretty results in the analysis. I can certify that hysteria is just the same here as in Vienna, and probably at least as common.

I sent Jung recently a programme of our May congress, perhaps he will forward it to you.

With kindest regards,

Yours ever sincerely,

Ernest Jones.

P.S. You will before now have got my New York letter, describing my impressions.
