Dear Professor Freud,

First let me thank you for your most interesting reprint. It was like all your writings too short, in that we crave, like Oliver Twist, for more.

Then as to the great news of your coming over. I am of course delighted for personal reasons, and in addition I think it will do your cause good, for I am a great believer in the effect of personal influence and presence. What subject will you choose? I suppose you will publish the lectures in the form of a book covering more or less systematically a given topic. Why don't you speak in English. I honestly see not the slightest reason why you shouldn't, and of course if I could do anything towards the idiomatic rendering of any points or in any other way I should be most happy to do so. Is the exact date fixed? I shall be in Europe end of July and August and shall be returning (to New York) about the end of August. I wonder if it would be possible for me to have the good fortune of travelling on the same boat. Have you chosen your route, etc., yet?

With regard to Morton Prince I think, strange as it may appear, that we are both right. There are often different ways of looking at the same thing.
