Anna Freud devoted a great many hours to reading the translation, giving advice that only she could give, supplying many pieces of information, and with her sister Mrs. Mathilde Hollitscher, correcting and working over the transcript of the Freud letters. She offered warm encouragement throughout. The late Ernst Freud, a prime mover of the project, Mrs. Lucie Freud, and Mark Paterson, managing director of Sigmund Freud Copyrights, Ltd., were notably helpful.

Mr. Kurt Niehus-Jung, acting for the Jung Estate, carefully corrected and worked over the transcript of the Jung letters and supplied special information and prudent advice. Mr. Franz Jung kindly answered numerous questions and generously assembled much of the illustrative material. Mrs. Lilly Jung was also most helpful. Dr. Hans Karrer, legal counsel for the Jung Estate, was co-operative and encouraging beyond any obligation.
