American Institute for Psychoanalysis Board of Trustees

Theodore I. Rubin, M.D.

The Board of Trustees met seven times since July, 1969, during which time there were several changes of personnel. A motion was unanimously passed accepting Dr. Geoffrey Osler's resignation.

In November the Board appointed Dr. Martin Symonds to the Faculty Council to fill the vacancy left by Dr. Joseph W. Vollmerhausen.

On December 10, 1969, Drs. Alan G. Miller and Morton S. Rucker attended the Board Meeting as invited representatives of the Candidates Association. As a result of this meeting, the Board gave its unanimous approval for greater integration among all of our member organizations. An Ad Hoc Committee including Drs. Harry Gershman, Louis R. Hott and Alexandra Symonds was appointed by Dr. Rubin to work on this matter.

At the March 11th meeting, the re-appointment of Drs. Isidore Portnoy and Robert L. Sharoff to the Board was unanimously recommended to the membership. The Board unanimously recommended the appointment of Dr. Bella S. Van Bark to the Board to fill the vacancy left by the resignation of Dr. Lester Shapiro. It also unanimously recommended Dr. Louis E. DeRosis to the position of consultant to the Board.
