American Institute for Psychoanalysis Board of Trustees Annual Meeting April 14, 1971

Theodore I. Rubin, M.D.

The Institute membership, at its the annual meeting of April 8, 1970, unanimously ratified the constitutional changes recommended by the Ad Hoc Constitutional Committee.

At a special meeting of the Institute membership, held on September 16, 1970, the members unanimously approved and accepted to membership graduates meeting the liberalized requirements contained in the April 8th constitutional amendments. As a result, the membership of the Institute has more than doubled. There are, of this moment, a total of 37 members.

Since April 8, 1970, the Board of Trustees has met 10 times to conduct Institute business. Board elections have taken place; curriculum modifications presented by the Faculty Council have been approved; liaison business with the Clinic has been conducted; new candidates to training have been endorsed; correspondence has been handled; money matters have been administered; communications with The Candidates Association, The Association for The Advancement of Psychoanalysis and The American Academy of Psychoanalysis been implimented; committees have been formed; recommendations have been made and pertinent discussions and decisions have taken place.

I want to thank the members of the Board for their interest, involvement and the time and energy they have devoted to Institute business during the year.
