A Farewell from the Editors

(UN AU REVOIR DES RÉDACTEURS)

Charles Levin and Josette Garon

This issue of the journal brings us to the conclusion of our work as editors of The Canadian Journal of Psychoanalysis/Revue canadienne de psychanalyse (CJP/RCP).

In January 2021, our distinguished colleague Louis Brunet will be taking over the reins as editor-in-chief.

Our confidence in Louis's editorial and administrative abilities affords us a welcome respite. The Canadian Psychoanalytic Society entrusts the editors of CJP/RCP with many responsibilities and tasks, not least custodial. We can relax in our retirement because we know that Louis will do an excellent job. Of course, we look forward to helping him in the transition to his new role. We will continue our work as members of the editorial board, but in essence, our work is done.

Another reason we feel confident in the future of the journal/revue is that Mena Iaciofano and Ian MacKenzie will be continuing in their respective roles as executive assistant and managing editor. They are sine qua non. We wish to memorialize here our profound appreciation for all they have done for the journal/revue.

Before closing, we would like to say a word of thanks to Sarah Usher, who is retiring this year as our English book review editor. Sarah has served us well in that role for two decades. We will miss her. She is perhaps the last of our active editorial staff who was present during the early years of the journal/revue. Les Fleischer will be replacing her in January 2021.

Finally, we want to express our gratitude and appreciation to all our editorial readers for their most essential contribution, the evaluation of manuscript submissions.
