That narrow channel

linking my heart and word

where we get stuck.

They are both true and fair the

Veverkos, Dušinkos, Miláčkus, Žežulinkos

Drahouškus, Zlatíčkos;

yet leave out most

of what my love for you contains.

HOW DO I TELL ABOUT The double-sided-coin

of pain-and-joy.

The warmth

of being held and holding

every night.

The hurt,

when you or I,

(it does not matter which)

is seized by fears

that live in us

unseen.
